From March 22nd - 25th the main European companies from sectors related to logistics chain operations: transport equipment and lift, automated storage systems, metal racking, packaging systems and handling equipment, will come together in Paris within the framework of the Intralogistics Europe fair.
On this occasion, Mecalux will show a working version of its most innovative compact storage system, the Pallet Shuttle. Visitors to the stand will also be able to try out the on-site warehouse management software, Easy WMS, since the team of Mecalux Software Solutions will offer live demonstrations to all those interested.
In the past few months, the Pallet Shuttle system has been implemented in many projects. This wide-spread success is due to its multiple benefits, such as the incorporation of Wi-Fi technology, long-lasting autonomous lithium batteries, position cameras that facilitate the loading and unloading manoeuvres of the shuttle operator, security scanners or a locking system that increases the contact of the shuttle with the forklift blades. The result is a solution that enhances the performance and profitability of the warehouse, ideal for businesses with a high volume of pallets per SKU.
As far as software solutions – with more than 130 engineers exclusively dedicated to its development – one of the major innovations of Easy WMS is its leap into the cloud. It is now possible to choose between two types of deployment solutions, which offer maximum flexibility to users: a cloud-based modality or SaaS, and an on-premise modality. Also to be highlighted are new e-commerce features, aimed at adapting to the sector’s hottest trends.
The development of multi-channels and the new requirements of SMEs, according to the fair organisers, are the current market engines. In this context, the storage solutions and software from Mecalux help to resolve the growing need to modernise warehouses, improving productivity and streamlining processes.
We look forward to seeing you at Intralogistics Europe 2016!
